KB Da Kidnappa, born Kenneth McGee, is an American rapper from Houston, Tx. Born in Galveston, Tx and originally from Port Arthur, Tx, KB Da Kidnappa grew up in the rough streets of the Trinity Garden neighborhood on the northeast side of Houston. Single parent raised by his mother during the early years of his life, he had no idea who his father was and no other way to get money except to hustle from selling drugs. At 14 years old he was busted for selling 6 ounces of cocaine to an undercover police officer. KB admits that he was influenced by the big time drug dealers in his neighborhood and could not resist the temptation and the lifestyle that came with the dope game. Besides selling drugs, he picked up a new hobby of street rapping and participating in neighborhood rap battles. He battled different rappers from surrounding neighborhoods destroying all competition and soon became the talk of the streets. He credits his mother for his love of music because she would play records back to back that included disco, classic rhythm and blues, rock n roll, and funk. At age 16, he joined the infamous rap group Street Military, which included members Lil Flea, Icy Hott, Pharoah, and Nutt.

In 1993, The group signed their first major deal with wild pitch and Columbia records and released the first single and video ” Tears came with making this dream”. KB did numerous records and street classics with street military, but in the end finding out that the music business, in his opinion, is 90% business and 10% talent. Throughout the bad contracts and shady dealings with the independent record label they were signed to; Beatbox records, their lack of business skill and knowledge made it difficult for the group to survive the 90’s into the early 2000’s.

In 2013, KB Da Kidnappa started his own independent record label called Spitting Venom Recordz, and re-released the Spitting Venom Double CD album and also released the “Black Mamba” And “Army of One” albums. He has toured Australia and received write-ups in magazines such as onion, vibe, murder dog, and ozone. He has also worked with well known artists such as Scarface, Slim Thug, Zro, 8 ball & MJG, Lil KeKe, Papa Reu, and a host of others. In 2017, KB Da Kidnappa is still on top of his game releasing music through his own independent record label. His spiritual trinity is God, Family, and music and he acknowledges that creating music will always be apart of him until death.
